While most people were attending Fearfest in 2006 only a few knew that it would be the last year to carry the Fearfest title. Acquired by the Cedar Fair group in July of 2006 it would return in 2007 with the all new name of Halloween Haunt. To the delight of the serious enthusiasts it would retain its entire dark splendor with little influence by its new parent corporation. Having visited Cedar point’s Halloweekends it is a pale comparison to our Kings Island around Halloween. Despite its recent acquisition it continues to grow each year under much of the same design team. In the 2007 season they unveiled their newest haunt; Club Blood. Kings Island is the one place I look forward to visiting during Halloween, and I hope that it continues to grow in the same dark direction. It is one Dark attraction around Cincinnati that I strongly encourage everyone to visit.
